Nick has just finished working on his latest photographic project which is showing up in Newcastle at the Exlibris Gallery for the next few weeks. Please go and see the show if you’re local (details in poster).

Social and cultural research explores the complexity of social life and the richness of cultural experience alongside the paradoxes of inequality and exclusion.

The Interventions project pairs six researchers with six designers to explore the possibilities revealed when designers apply their knowledge and approach to the detailed and nuanced research undertaken by social and human scientists. An evolving synthesis of disciplines over a period of eight weeks.

Nick’s involvement was two fold photographing the output at the end of the 8 week project in studio and to also to supply an image which reflected the human scientists research.

Sam Bebbington from Collective Approach dropped into Ermine today to shoot their recent design work.

Collective Approach have worked with both David & Mark in the past producing their websites & business stationary and come with the official Ermine Works seal of approval.

Mark Cant has an exhibition coming up at Libertine in Soho.

You should come – it’ll be fun.

Here is a working image of my first portrait shoot at Ermine Works and my first ever blog entry. Yeah! The full series will follow shortly on the website.

Mark Cant was busy over the weekend shooting the new Lee Lapthorne look book with Alexis Knox.

Our models were Jo Milnes (Storm) & Rankin’s wife Tuuli (Profile)

We’ve been working on this for a long time: Ermine Works is now fully operational.

David Ryle, Mark Cant & Nick Ballon are back together again & welcome you to our new studio in Hackney.
